Test Description
Oil Sample Quantity: approx 100 cc for routine oil analysis of EngineCheck™ 802 and EngineCheck™ 804
Oil Sampling Location/Point
Ideally , the oil sample should be taken when the engine has reached its normal operating temperature and
during the engine still running. If this is not possible, then it should be done as soon as possible after the
engine has stopped (within 10 minutes).
- First Method - at the dipstick
By vacuum pump (fluid pump) and plastic tube through
dipstick tube into oil sump.
Take oil sample immediately
after engine stops . |
- Second Method - install valve or tap fitted to oil feed pipes
By sampling valve locate after pump before filter (location at oil filter housing , after return)
Avoid if possible: take sample from drain plug drain container and during cold condition
